General Manager – Community Initiatives Permanent, Full Time – Based in CarramarWoodville Alliance Ltd (WA) is a not-for-profit, place-based agency working in Western Sydney. See more at: www.woodville.org.au  The Community Initiatives Team (CIT) is responsible for a variety of child, youth and family community programs including early intervention programs focusing on improving the lives of 0–18-year olds and their families, services supporting children and young people (aged 0-18 years) who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing a mental illness and the Carramar Early Childhood Education and Care Centre. The Community Initiatives team consists of 35 staff, with 5 direct reports to the General Manager. POSITION OBJECTIVESThis role is a member of the Leadership Team, reports to the CEO and has the following primary objectives;Provide leadership and strategic and operational management of the Community Initiatives TeamDevelop new business opportunities, partnerships and relationships to continue the growth of new and existing servicesContribute to leadership and strategy across WA, as a member of the Leadership TeamAdopt effective people management strategies which promote a positive staff and client cultureESSENTIAL CRITERIATertiary qualifications in human services or related fieldAt least 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership capacity, including staff, financial and change management and effective people and culture managementExtensive experience in the development, delivery and oversight of evidence based, prevention and early intervention programs, including child, youth and family services and mental healthProven business development track record and entrepreneurial skillsDemonstrated high level external relations and networking skillsDemonstrated high-level written and verbal and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated superior skills in mediation, negotiation, collaboration and consultationCommitment to social justice principles and ethical practiceA current NSW Driver’s LicenceA current and verified Working with Children Check and National Police CheckHOW TO APPLY Please click apply to forward your letter of application addressing 1-4 of the essential criteria listed above, including your CV.
