Our values include empowerment, empathy, compassion and innovation. POSITION OBJECTIVEWA delivers a range of integrated programs and services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Shifts will include: postings at day program, group homes and client homes. We support clients with complex needs and challenging behaviours, duties will include providing personal care from time to time. The position is responsible for working day-to-day with clients in understanding and assisting them to achieve their goals. Disability Support Workers are to assist the clients, by adhering to NDIS plans that are designed to maximize positive outcomes and achievement of individual goals for each person.Due to client requirements, candidates who speak Mandarin, Vietnamese and Arabic are strongly encouraged to applyMAIN DUTIES (but not limited to)Work with clients on a day to day basis to encourage, motivate them to meet their goals, recording their progress and evaluating and identifying ongoing steps to achieve their goals.Compulsory duties include transporting clients to and from home/programmed activities, personal care to both males & females and participating in hydrotherapy with clients.Maintain positive working relationships with families, colleagues and stakeholders.Ensure strict adherence to the roster and commitment to your Duty of Care/WHS requirementsESSENTIAL (but not limited to)Minimum Certificate III in Disability or equivalent. Candidates with no qualifications must be currently studying or willing to undertake study to be considered. Experience in a care capacity of people with an intellectual and developmental disability.Ability to engage and recognise issues related to servicing CALD clients.Clear National Police Record and Working With Children CheckValid full or P Drivers LicenseDue to client requirements, candidates who speak Mandarin, Vietnamese and Arabic are strongly encouraged to applyHOW TO APPLYPlease click the 'apply' button to forward your CV and letter of application addressing the essential criteria 1 to 3 listed above ASAP!
